Product
Customisation
Vola builds the product your line actually needs. That can mean an existing product supplied as it is, an existing product refined to fit your process, or a chemistry developed from scratch. Every route runs through our trademarked Dream → Develop → Deliver™ process, so whichever one you need, it is scoped, proven and supported.
Three routes
Customisation is not limited to tweaking something off the shelf. Depending on what the application demands, the outcome is one of three things.
A product in our existing range already meets the requirement. We validate it against your substrate and process, then supply.
A proven base is close but not exact. Chemists adjust viscosity, tack, open time, cure speed, colour, spray pattern or pack format.
Nothing in the range fits. We develop a new chemistry against your performance, substrate and compliance requirements.
At a glance
| Scope | Existing product as supplied, refined from a proven base, or developed from scratch |
|---|---|
| Typical adjustments | Viscosity, tack, open time, cure speed, colour |
| Pack customisation | Fill weight, valve type, hose length, applicator |
| Sample rounds | 2 to 3 rounds typical |
| Lead time | 3 to 5 weeks to a signed-off sample |
| Minimum volume | Confirm per project |
What's included
Dream → Develop → Deliver™
Whether the answer is an existing product, a refinement or a new chemistry, it runs through the same three stages, so it is scoped, proven and supported rather than guessed at.
We start with the real problem, not the product. Scoping confirms what has to be achieved on your line, whether an existing product already does it, and whether the work stacks up commercially.
Chemists refine a proven base or develop a new formulation, then validate it against your substrate and process, with compliance documentation issued alongside the test data.
Specification fixed, rolled into production, and reviewed at 90 days, with ongoing support and a roadmap for the next variant.

FAQs
How is this different from Product R&D?⌄
Customisation starts from a proven Vola product. R&D starts from a blank brief.
Do adjustments affect certification?⌄
Any change is re-tested and documentation reissued before release.
What happens if we over-forecast?⌄
Stock ageing is reviewed monthly and flagged early for products held against agreed schedules or call-offs. Any stock that expires due to over-forecasting is managed in line with the agreed SLA and remains the customer's responsibility.
